Who we are

At Aequilibrium Inc. we bridge the gap between skeptical businesses and knowledgeable AR Creators with a platform that aggregates shows and facilitates the creation of AR projects. Our founders' abilities include design, engineering, and business all with previous startup experience and eagerness to take the platform to the next level. We're part of NVIDIA Inception and the Microsoft for Startups program; we were also accepted into an Incubator in Chicago ("The Gallery"), and have tremendous traction on both sides of the platform.

But we're not just revolutizioning the way Businesses will understand and order Augmented Reality (AR) Content in any industry, we're also thinking about what's next for us and the industry. Who you are

You're a knowledgable front-end developer that not only breathes and lives the AR world, Metaverse, Virtual Reality tech, and NFTs but has shipped at least a couple of products in a web-based environment. You pinpoint flaws in the User Experience of everyday applications, are familiar with UX usability principles, and have worked alongside a designer. 

We are basically looking for someone who can execute pixel-perfect front-end pages with minimal resources while taking advantage of the resources we have access to.

If you have worked in a tech startup (AR-related or not) before or have full-stack experience, that's a plus.

Must have

  • 3+ Years of Experience developing front-end solutions in a web-based environment

  • Live Projects you can show us and walk us through

  • College or Master's degree in CS, Software Engineering, Digital Product Design or equivalent experience/education

  • Excellent foundation in computer science, algorithms, and web design

  • Excellent time management capabilities that allow you to deliver great work on time

  • Attention to details and over-the-top aesthetic sensibility

  • Knowledge of Responsive web-based applications and best practices

  • Experience working in a fast-paced team that might change direction swiftly 


What you'll do with the team

  • Implement and expand the frontend design as see fit based on company requirements

  • Develop key pages our designers have put together / or will put together they're part of the product roadmap

  • Integrate company API and elaborate on expanding front-end functionalities

  • Help to extend UI/UX Library alongside our lead designer

  • Accurately translate user and business needs into functional frontend code

  • Create quality mock-ups and prototypes on a tight deadline

  • Assist back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting

  • Align technical development to business development and ensure proper communication channels with our CTO Eris and our CEO

  • Participate from time to time in brainstorming sessions on future developments with the rest of the team and recommend system solutions by comparing the advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchasing alternative

Where you'll help us get

We are ramping up development on our end and have several tech partners on our list that will extend the capabilities of our platform, lead to a better experience for our customers while in turn raise our potential to be leaders in the ordering of AR content process. We don't just want businesses to order projects, we want them to be able to accept the technology in the first place and that means removing obstacles by designing the right tools. On the other hand, we don't want AR Creators to just take on works, we want them to be able to repurpose what they create and have additional revenue sources they can rely on. The right execution will help us move away from our competitors, Poplar.studio and Catch.AR while establishing Aequilibrium Inc. as the go-to platform in North America.

Our Culture

We funded the company when the world was still upside down, which means that we're built for strong environments and can handle pressure outside and inside of us. We will not settle for decent communication we strive to get to a state where everyone feels like part of the team despite being remote. Our CEO is in Chicago, IL, and the rest of the co-founders in California. We tend to have weekly check-ins and daily check-ins when necessary to meet a strict deadline. 

Commitment

Full-time commitment is ideal to speed things up although we're flexible for a part-time role with fixed days for team meetings and check-ins. In short, you can manage your time but you'll need to:

1- deliver and follow the timeline set

2- share your availability for important check-ins and to check the status of your tasks

Location

We have a coworking space located in Chicago that you'd be able to use upon approval but the work and discussions with the rest of the team will be remote.
