The last two years have been great for immersive technologies. The global pandemic ramped up the use cases for immersive technologies, showing the world how significant these technologies are.

In Africa, we are starting to see a lot of digital immersive solutions, from leveraging Augmented Reality (AR) to enable customers try out furniture before they make a purchase to Nigerian musical artist album launched in Virtual Reality (VR) and Virtual Human Computer Interaction Lab researching in-depth into VR for empathy.

We have also seen a lot of use cases in the education and tourism domains, these show that Africa is becoming an accelerator to more immersive solutions and there is no better time to jump in than now.

At the VR/AR Association, we continuously look for ways to drive the inclusion and exposure of these technologies. The VR/AR Africa Ecosystem annual report is one such way where we showcase companies doing great work in this space, making businesses easily identify key partners to implement their future projects.

Africa VR/AR Ecosystem Report Q4 2021

VR/AR Association Nigeria Chapter is producing an industry report on Africa's Virtual and Augmented Reality ecosystem to promote companies and organizations involved with immersive technologies and media across Africa.

Africa's and especially Nigeria's immersive market is growing rapidly. We already have companies, agencies, and brands developing VR and AR solutions. This ranges from small startups to large organizations with operations in Nigeria or Africa developing immersive technologies for local and global use.

In addition, many Universities, Research Centers, and Training Centers research, discuss and develop immersive technologies all across the country and the continent.

Our local chapter has developed relevant partnerships with important local institutions, to join forces and work together to be even stronger and to spread immersion technology throughout the country, and also looking out for the African market.

Our Industry Report will specifically highlight the following:

• Size of the Nigerian and African markets

• Number of relevant companies in Africa

• Directory and Company info (size: number of employees, revenue; vertical, customers)

Our report will be promoted via global VRARA channels and partners, which includes: 55k emails in our db, on our website (25K unique visitors per month), and social media (60K followers).
