The VR/AR Association (VRARA) Central Florida Chapter Appoints Julia Black to Board of Advisors
The VR/AR Association (VRARA) Central Florida Chapter is pleased to announce the appointment of Julia Black to its Board of Advisors.
Julia brings a wealth of experience from the space industry, including seven years at SpaceX where she served as a Range Coordinator and Launch Director. Her commercial leadership builds on a distinguished 21-year career in the U.S. Air Force, where she began as a Weather Officer and rose to roles such as Assistant Director of Range Operations at Cape Canaveral Air Station and Director of Staff at the 45th Space Wing at Patrick Air Force Base. She later joined Stoke Space as Director of Range Operations and currently serves as Vice President of Advanced Programs at Space Florida.
“The space industry has been the focus of nearly my entire career, and I’m deeply passionate about creating new opportunities for our community,” said Julia. “XR technology has enormous potential to transform product design, operations, and training. The VRARA is the perfect platform to connect XR innovators with the needs of the space sector.”
John Cunningham, President of the VRARA Central Florida Chapter, adds:
“Julia is a respected leader across military, commercial, and state government space initiatives. She understands the intersection of emerging technologies and mission-critical operations. We’re honored to welcome her to our Board and look forward to collaborating on new ways for our members to support and accelerate the space industry through VR and AR.”
