Join us for a lunch and learn, as Ben Sainsbury, CEO of Marion Surgical shares how his firm is using VR to impact the field of surgical training. Marion Surgical is a Canadian start up with headquarters in Niagara Falls, Canada and with offices in Buffalo and Manchester, UK. Their marquee product is a VR surgical rehearsal simulator, called the K181 VR surgery platform. The VR platform uses patented haptics to simulate the feeling of operating on real human tissue. Its customers include Boston Scientific, Cook and Coloplast—blue chip medical device companies that use the simulator for advanced training.

Join us on March 28th from 6pm to 8:30pm as we partner with Fasken Law, one of Toronto's leading law firms to explore Virtual and Augmented Reality through a legal perspective.
We'll be covering:
1. Applications of VR + AR in Law
2. A look at patents, copyrights and trademarks for VR + AR companies and the experiences / platforms they build
3. Exploring Liability considerations when deploying VR + AR experiences to clients and the general public
The legal side of business and emerging tech is often not talked about enough, particularly early in the growth phase of an industry. Whether you are in the VR + AR industry or the legal industry, these are conversations that are critical to explore.
There will also be a Q&A session as well the opportunity to network with representatives from Fasken, the Toronto VRAR Association and all attendees.
