WELCOME TO THE TURKEY CHAPTER OF THE GLOBAL ASSOCIATION FOR VR & AR

As the Turkish Chapter we welcome all the relevant persons, institutions and entities, -public and private-, to join our association, not just to witness this transformation and disruption, but also to become a part of it, to be an enabler and an actor together.

Istanbul has become such a uniquely dynamic space for various tech creative hubs and innovative companies over the last years. Emerging technologies and innovation is currently a priority on the agenda of companies, organizations and the government; especially VR/AR.

Currently, Istanbul has an incredible crowd of people who are curious, enthusiastic and progressive about future technologies; including students, academics, journalists, science and technology driven creatives, in addition to locally and globally active business. With that, the value of gathering a community with the priorities of open dialogue, curiosity, innovation and R&D on the matter of all things VR/AR/MR is at most.

Tarcan Kiper

Tarcan Kiper is the Co-founder and CEO of Dors Venabili Cyberspace Technologies, a company specializing in digital health and VR therapeutics. With over 30 years of experience in 3D simulation and VR across defense, aerospace, and energy sectors, he is a pioneer of simulator and VR development in Turkey. His team created the country’s first VR project, VR Center, and CAVE system. Tarcan has led large-scale VR training programs for industries worldwide and frequently lectures on digital twins, virtual prototyping, and immersive learning. He holds degrees from Case Western Reserve and Bogazici University and is also an Ironman triathlete.
