VRARA Oregon Chapter mission is to further awareness and growth of the use and effectiveness of virtual and augmented reality tools. The chapter and its members seek to collaborate and learn from complex problems our members are experiencing in real-world situations.

Sam manages products and services for 30+ training courses on a number of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) in schoolhouses around the world. Sam’s passion for Augmented and Virtual Reality stems from a career in unmanned flight instruction, test, and operations. At Insitu, he is exploring a number of ways augmented and virtual reality can help with organizational optimization. He and his teams are currently designing a global network of learning modules using AR/VR to safely and effectively employ industry-leading drone hardware and software.  Of significant interest to Sam is end-user authoring, real-time troubleshooting, enhancing mixed reality, and UAS IoT. Sam has also served as an Infantryman and Sniper during Operation Iraqi Freedom One and Two.
