What is the VR/AR Global Summit?
The VR/AR Global Summit is a two day summit, hosted by the VR/AR Association (VRARA) that will take place in Vancouver, Canada from Sept 21-22, 2018 at the Parq Hotel and Casino.

Yes, and no. Vancouver hosted a successful event, CVR for the past two year, that attracted over 5000 people through its exhibit space last year, and over 750 to its Industry day. The regional owners of the show worked with the VRARA to create a smooth transition for us to take over the show. The VR/AR Global Summit was created to carry on the torch from the CVR, and to develop the show into a world class global summit.

Vancouver is an amazing world-class city with a booming VR/AR/MR industry; it’s the second ecosystem in the world after Silicon Valley. With its roots in film, gaming and VFX, the city is filled with great talent, creativity and a booming start up culture. Situated on the Pacific Ocean, Vancouver is surrounded by beautiful mountains and lush rainforests. It is a city of gardens, mountains, bike lanes, hipster restaurants, amazing seafood, and tech companies.

Parq Vancouver is a sophisticated and stylish new hotel and casino complex located in downtown Vancouver. It boasts 2 hotels, the JW Marriott and The Douglas, plus 2 floors of casino, luxury spa, 8 distinctive restaurants and a 30,000 square foot rooftop park with 200 local trees. The VR/AR Association (VRARA) is an international organization designed to foster collaboration between innovative companies and people in the virtual reality and augmented reality ecosystem that accelerates growth, fosters research and education, helps develop industry standards, connects member organizations and promotes the services of member companies.
