WELCOME TO THE BELGIUM CHAPTER OF THE GLOBAL ASSOCIATION FOR VR & AR

Belgium is doing a great job when it comes to VR/AR adaption (we have one of the biggest VR Arcades in the world) and a lot of untapped potential remains. Belgium has a strong reputation for R&D and innovation, primarily due to the high quality of its education and research facilities, the availability of skilled workers and numerous fiscal incentives for R&D ventures. 

The Belgian Chapter wants to promote and guide Belgian researchers, businesses, community groups, individuals and governments (yeah, we’ll explain that over a beer) in finding both each other and the rest of the global VRARA. This way we help them discover the potential of VR/AR and the steps they can take to leverage and contribute to the future of VR/AR, putting our little country on the global radar. 

We strongly believe in both the potential of the VR/AR as in the people at the heart of Europe.

Cederik Haverbeke

Cederik Haverbeke is the co-founder of Edorble, an educational VR platform that lets you gather in 3D environments with your students, peers or colleagues in an avatar based experience. You can either use pre-made environments, or the Edorble Creator Tools for Unity 3D to design your own environments. He combines a technical background with international project management experience at DHL logistics and the European Commission.
