Andrew Caven is the founder of Axon Virtual Health, a virtual reality start-up dedicated to improving the patient experience through virtual reality. Andrew began his career in healthcare, where he was exposed firsthand to the great need for drug-free pain and anxiety management. He has experience with a variety of immersive media technologies such as game development, 3D/360 video and photogrammetry. Axon Virtual Health is currently being studied in two separate clinical trials for its clinical benefit to both adult and pediatric patients experiencing pain or anxiety due to medical procedures or routine healthcare visits. Andrew is an active member of the Austin virtual reality scene and is co-founder of the city’s Virtual Reality & 360 meet-up, which has grown to over 450 members. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Occidental College.
